About Dr. Stacey Denise

The physician who actually
gets it, because she's
living it too.

I'm Dr. Stacey Denise, board-certified surgeon, women's longevity physician, and a Black woman navigating this exact transition. I built this because I kept seeing the same woman: brilliant, already doing everything right, and still not getting the answers her biology deserved.

Something else is true about me too, and I don't lead with it often: I'm a late-diagnosed autistic woman. Being Black made that diagnosis take longer to find me. Autism doesn't get recognized the same way in Black women, and by the time I had language for what I'd always sensed about myself, I'd already spent years learning to mask it. I'm telling you this because perimenopause is its own kind of identity transition, one where the coping strategies that held everything together stop working the same way. I understand that from more than one direction.

The Nervous System Eats First™ isn't a tagline. It's the lens I use with every patient, because stress, hormones, and nervous-system function aren't separate conversations. They're one picture.
